How to Move a Membership

A step-by-step guide to moving a member between membership types

Learn how to move someone’s membership from one membership plan type to another while still maintaining the same expiration date. For example, move someone from a single membership to a family membership 

  1. Navigate to your Communal Manager Dashboard and on the left hand side under People select User Memberships
  2. Locate the user(s) whose membership you wish to move and select the box next to their name(s)
  3. Then click on Move Membership or Bulk Cancel if you wish to cancel 
  4. Next you will select the membership and plan you would like to move the user(s) to
  5. Next you will click Move to complete the move
Note: this will maintain the original membership start date, expiration date, and auto-renewal status. If there is a difference in price you will need to charge them manually for the difference using the Charges feature.
