When a member pays for their next years membership outside of the Communal system ahead of their expiry date you can easily set up a one-time auto-renewal on their account. A one-time auto-renewal will ensure that the membership gets renewed on their upcoming expiry date and will assign them a membership valid for 1 year. If they wish to pay early again the following year you will need to complete a one-time auto-renewal on their account again. Alternatively they can enter their payment information and set up continuing auto-renewal.

Please follow the steps below for one-time auto-renewal:

  1. Login to your Communal Manager Dashboard and navigate to People then Users
  2. Locate the user in the Users list and under Actions select View User
  3. Once on the users profile navigate to the Memberships tab
  4. From there locate the membership they are renewing and select Enable Auto-Renewal
  5. Then you will toggle Yes to Renews on Expiration and click save
  6. Now the users membership will renew on expiration!
