Congratulations! You are taking your first step on your Communal Point-of-Sale (POS) Terminal journey! Once you receive your terminal you will follow the steps below to connect it to your Communal instance. This will sync your transaction list, currency, tax rate, and more.
- Login to your Communal Manager Dashboard
- Navigate to Settings then Terminal (If you do not see this option you do not have the correct admin access. Please reach out to your Super Admin).
- Once on the Terminal page you will select Generate Token. The token is single use, so the next time you need to login you will need to generate another token.
- Turn on the terminal and enter the token on the on the screen
- Click Sign In, then you are connected.
- The final step is to confirm that the information on the Settings page on the terminal is correct.
If it is not correct, you will need to log into Communal and update the information (click here to learn how to update the information within Communal). Once updated you will then click Refresh on the terminal screen.
